So when Cent told me this morning that it had snowed overnight, I didn’t really believe him because every other time that it has snowed here, I’ve missed it or it didn’t stick. So I was a little skeptical.

But when I looked out the window, I saw this:

And this in the backyard:

My experience with snow has been limited to trips to Lake Tahoe and Big Bear. I’m totally not properly equipped. I don’t even have a pair of waterproof gloves with me in Texas. Luckily, I found my snow jacket shell in the trunk of my car! Today was also the first time I ever drove in the snow. Scary at first, but not too bad if the roads are mostly clear.

I totally felt like I was in the Twilight Zone today because the snow is so uncommon to me.

I know I probably sound like a total amateur to those of you who combat snow months out of the year. But this California girl was amazed!

When I got home, Cent and I had a mini snowball fight (I got one in his face!) and I made a snow angel. Who knows how much longer the snow will stay (probably not more than a day), but it is fun while it lasts!
