Jaime and I met at the San Francisco International Airport, seven years ago this August.
We were saying our collective goodbyes to our family and friends for our year-long adventure in France. Lyon, France.
Jaime and I actually sat near each other on the 11-hour plane ride in the second to the last row on the Air France aircraft. But we didn’t do much talking. In fact, to be perfectly honest, I really didn’t think that Jaime and I would ever be close friends. We were so different.
She was studying Economics. I was majoring in Communication. Jaime was always cautious with her words. I spewed out anything that came to mind. She loves running. I consider it a four-letter word.
But it’s amazing what a year away from home can do. Each of us came into our own, and that year changed our lives in incomparable ways.
I remember when I first met David. I had sped up the 5 Highway to UCLA for Jaime’s birthday. And there was something special about him. I never told anyone this, but I had a feeling that he would be sticking around for the long haul. He just complemented Jaime in such a way that only he could do.
So when Jaime and David called to ask me to shoot their wedding, I was honored. I was overjoyed to know they’d be running together for life.
Here are two photos to get you through the long weekend! I promise a full post is coming next week!
