So, I’ll admit it. I’m totally not a foodie. I usually can’t find the nutty undertones of a dish or fruity finishes on a wine. But, that aside, I do like to eat. And I appreciate (and love) looking at food photography. Having photographed food a few times before, it’s definitely not as easy as it looks. But it is as delicious as it looks, at least for the times I’ve photographed food!
I had heard about Dallas Restaurant Week before, but I don’t think we were really paying attention, and for the last two years, completely missed it. What is Dallas Restaurant Week? Well, basically a bunch (a long list!) of restaurants offer a three-course meal for a prix-fixe (set price) of $35. Many of the restaurants on the list are places where the entree begins at $35+, so this is a great deal for a great cause, as a portion of the cost of each meal is donated to the North Texas Food Bank. Awesome.
After perusing the list of participating restaurants a few weeks ago, I knew that I didn’t want to miss out this year. And what a perfect date night idea, right?
To make it even easier, Restaurant Week has partnered with OpenTable to make easy, quick reservations online. I just made ours! We will FINALLY be going to Tillman’s Roadhouse! I just looked at their menu, and can’t wait til Friday!
Which restaurant do you want to try?
