Tag Archives: christmas I’m. so. excited. Tomorrow night we’ll be heading back to California for Christmas! Yay! This will be our first time back since our wedding in July. And as much as California doesn’t scream cold weather or winter, it is home. For me, it screams HOME. Familiar faces. Familiar surroundings. Familiar traffic signals. And my dogs!… Yesterday I received a package from home. A box full of ornaments! And not just any ornaments, penguin ones! If I haven’t mentioned it before, penguins are my favorite animal. Not sure why. Well, kind of. In second grade, my teacher, Mrs. Evans loved penguins. She decorated her classroom with penguins. She told stories with… It’s the Christmas season, which means that the radio is blaring with Christmas music and one particular song from The Sound of Music. You know, My Favorite Things? “Raindrops on roses, and whiskers on kittens”? My mom always asks why the radio stations play that song, since technically it’s not a Christmas or holiday song….
