When I’m not photographing people, details are my favorite. Hands down. I just love the time, talent, and creativity that goes into a design for a wedding or event. I appreciate all the hard work that goes into a unique wedding, designed from the ground up. In 2011, I had the privilege of shooting lots of amazing details by many talented Dallas designers.
Here are just a few of my favorites.

Nikki and Blake had the most amazing wedding! I loved how they intertwined so much of their personalities into the ceremony and reception. Everything was so beautiful and the day was run so smoothly thanks to Rick Starkweather of Spotlight Catering. Lisa Stiles-Ham of Coco Fleur Events did an amazing job with all the floral and tables. It’s wonderful to work with other professionals who are so good at what they do!
The bathtub holding the drinks? I may have squealed. A little.
Nikki and Blake, y’all are so awesome. Yes. I use “y’all” now.
If there was one thing she wasn’t worried about, it was the weather. Amongst the myriad of things she had to think about leading up to her wedding, Nikki didn’t worry about the weather. She just knew that she was ready to get married. She was ready to call Blake her husband.
It was a beautiful Spring day, with the sun shining brightly and a light breeze, making it a gorgeous day in Texas. Surrounded by their family and friends, Nikki and Blake created a wedding at the 1899 Farmhouse in Princeton (northeast of Dallas) that truly reflected their relationship. From the infusion of Superman details to the rosary that was wrapped around Nikki’s bouquet, to awesome shoes, to the handmade centerpieces, this wedding was true to their fun personalities. They married under a gorgeous arbor, as they promised their lives to each other, their faces beaming with love. It’s clear to me that they are a perfect match.
Nikki and Blake…I can’t begin to thank you for simply being you. Your wedding was perfect and I loved every minute of it! There were times when I wanted to reach out and squeeze you for making me fall more in love with what I do. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your love story…it’s an honor I cherish.
