California Light

There’s just something special about the light in California.

Especially right at sunset, the Golden Hour, as it’s often referred to by photographers.

Maybe it’s because it’s not a million degrees. Maybe it’s because of the cool breeze coming from the coast. Maybe it’s because there are hills.

I’m not sure exactly what it is, but I love the light in California.

I was lucky enough to return to California last week for some portrait sessions, and here’s a little sneak peek at a senior session with Maddy and Katie.
