Yearly Archives: 2011 Sometimes you meet people and you just know that your lives have to intersect. And intersect again. Even before you meet in person. This is what it’s like with Justin and Mary Marantz. In a word, they are AMAZING! And then, after you meet them, you just want to give them a big hug and… “It’s supposed to snow on Sunday.” That’s what Cent told me on Friday morning after I had arrived in San Diego for Charlene and Ron’s wedding. Which, at the time, was really difficult to fathom as I looked out at a Palm tree, leaves blowing in the wind on a mild January day. I knew… The last two days have been torturous. Like my muscles forgot their primary function and are on strike. I kinda imagine my muscle cells holding picket signs and chanting. (I know, I have random thoughts.) Cent and I restarted P90X on Monday, and I’m super sore. It’s like the muscles I forgot I had are… Before the holidays were upon us, I photographed Jenn & Jon’s Beloved session in Downtown Dallas. We met on a particularly warm day for December, and shared some laughs in the heart of the Arts District. Jenn and Jon described their style as modern and urban, and so we headed to the Winspear Opera House… Over the years, I’ve had various New Year’s traditions. Growing up, I remember spending New Years with my family, eating and hanging out until the previously recorded Times Square Ball drop. I remember one year, my sister and I were told to jump all through the countdown until midnight, to ensure that we’d grow taller…
