A Picture’s Worth

Last week we went to Pensacola to spend Thanksgiving with Cent’s family. I ate far too much good food, and I’m still dreaming about some of it!

We were thankful that we got to visit with Cent’s Granny. And, as a photographer, I insisted that during our time there, on taking a photo of Cent and his granny. For memories. For posterity. To remember the moments together. Considering that we only get to see his family once a year, a photograph or two was in order.

This is one of my favorites.

Cent and his brother are Granny’s only grandchildren, so I know that this visit was extra special.

Cent and his brother both won best smile in high school, and it’s easy to see why.

It’s so easy to get caught up in what we’re doing, and it’s so easy to forget to stop and take a photo. Literally. I know that I often find myself wishing I had taken a photo to help me remember a great time or a special visit. I know that these photos will be treasured.

So this holiday season, I’m going to make a better effort to stop and take a photo. To remember. To actively create and preserve memories.

I encourage you to stop and take a photo, too.

Happy Monday!
