30 Days of Thanks: Wrap-Up

November truly flew by in a flash. Like, I’m pretty sure that Halloween was just last week. And now, before we know it, it will be Christmas. This is definitely my favorite time of the year. Although I wish we could do it more often, I love spending time with our families in California and Georgia. If I’m being totally honest, I’m jealous of those people who have their families in the same city, shoot, in the same state! But I digress. I thought I’d give a little wrap up post for my 30 Days of Thanksgiving. While I didn’t post everyday, I did make note of who or what I was thankful for. It’s not to late to tell the ones you are thankful for, that you are!

Day 17: I’m thankful for the Internet, which without, I wouldn’t be able to work, keep in touch with family and friends, or pretty much anything! Also, thankful that we have swift Internet at home because next week I’ll be without any. AT ALL.

Day 18 & 19: I’m thankful for my aunt (and godmother) & uncle, Kathleen & Bud for being wonderful examples of marriage and parents. You both always make me feel so welcome as one of your kids when I visit and you’ve welcomed Cent into the family so wholeheartedly! I’m also thankful for their kids, and my cousins, Mercy, John Michael, Ana-Maria, Seraphina, Kiko, and Rosie. Such a fun loving bunch and they prove that home schooling makes for the most creative minds, EVER! :) Love you guys!

Day 20: I’m thankful for my sweet friend, Ebony Peoples-Wordlaw. We “met” on the phone last year when she called me to meet up, we became fast friends (love the Texas transplant bond!), we’ve worked on a few projects together and our husbands are friends too :) Blessed to call her a colleague and friend and sounding board for our budding small businesses!

Day 21: I’m thankful for Amy Pittsinger, who is all around awesome! We’ve shot weddings together and have a great time in the short time that we’ve known each other. We crack up over the same things and are passionate about photography. Oh and catching up over BJ’s pizza & pizookies aren’t half bad either

Day 22: I’m thankful for Elizabeth Gonzalez, she’s been wonderful to collaborate with on projects, managing to have everything come together flawlessly, and we’ll soon get to work together on a wedding in the Spring! She owns After Yes, so if you’re looking for a planner, be sure to check out her page! Thankful for this awesome fellow businesswoman!

Day 23: I’m thankful for my grandmothers! Love you both! :)

Day 24, 25, 26, 27: I’m thankful for CelinaMagalyTanya, and Valerie, for the friendships, lots of laughs, and always a good time. Thankful to have a great group of lady photographer friends :) I was looking at some photobooth pictures from last year..HILARIOUS. I think a cupcake is in order

Day 28: Thankful for the Photo LadiesSHARE – Dallas/Ft Worth, and Showiteers! You make the photo community feel warm, inviting, and all around a great thing to be a part of. Thank you for your insight, advice, and for being awesome to hang out with!

Day 29: Thankful for Marcia and Elisa – stoked to have met you both over pizza thanks to the Showit connection and so excited about our project for the Spring! Love that you are a part of the Share group, and opportunities to hang out! Also, thankful for Ivette, your openness to give, share, and collaborate. Excited about later this month! :) Thank you for all y’all do!

Day 30: Thankful for the holidays, a time to refresh, renew, and recharge, while spending time with loved ones. I’m thankful to be spending it with my family and extended family who I am very grateful for. This is my favorite time of year, and I’m looking forward to 2012 and starting it off in a BIG way!

I love that this challenge pushed me to thank people publicly (on Facebook at least) and I know that it brought some unexpected brightness to people’s day. That’s just an added bonus. Remember to thank those you love and those who have made an impression in your life. You may think they already know, but it doesn’t hurt to say an extra “THANKS FOR BEING AWESOME!”

Happy Holidays!
