30 Days of Thanks: Week 3

11.18.2011

Earlier this week I was at Starbucks and Christmas music was playing. While I’m a HUGE fan of all things Christmas, I feel like Christmas carols playing before Thanksgiving is too soon. Let’s not forget about Thanksgiving! I’ve always felt that Thanksgiving officially kicks off the holidays, with the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade ending with Santa Claus on the float. I don’t know about you, but I can wait another week before hearing Christmas tunes everywhere.

And to continue on with my 30 days of thanks…

Day 12: I’m thankful for friends we have made since starting married life together in Dallas. Without you, I’m pretty sure I’d be sitting in my office crying everyday that I have no friends. Instead, I can celebrate all the new friends I have made! :)

Day 13: I’m thankful for Kelly Simants of Sweet Pea Events, the very first wedding planner I met after moving to Dallas. She’s a transplant to Texas, too, so she totally know what it’s like moving your life across the country. I ♥ you, Kelly! Thank you for being awesome. Always!

Day 14: I’m thankful for Karyn Kelbaugh and Maggie McDonald, my very first photographer friends in Texas. And it just so happens that they are Texas transplants too. We must stick together! :) They are awesome and have become dear friends over the two short years I have been here :)

Day 15: I’m thankful for Vanessa Hendrickson. She’s been a wonderful friend to have, and she’s like the older sister I never had. She is the most giving and generous person I’ve ever met, and I’m blessed to call her a friend.

Day 16: I’m thankful for my friends Valerie, Elana, Brittani,Jaime, Fiona, Hana, Vanessa, Vincent, Amit, Jesse, that we are in touch 7 years following our year in France together. And this is fitting since the Beaujolais nouveau gets rolled out this week! :) Gros bisous, love you guys!

Day 17: I’m thankful for the Internet, which without, I wouldn’t be able to work, keep in touch with family and friends, or pretty much anything! Also, thankful that we have swift Internet at home because next week I’ll be without any. AT ALL.

Can you believe Thanksgiving is right around the corner?

What are you doing for Thanksgiving? What’s your favorite Thanksgiving dish?
