I was delaying the real world. I was not ready to get a “real” job after college.
So I decided to go to Disneyworld for a few months. I figured that I’d work, play in the parks, maybe make some new friends. What I didn’t know was that I’d leave Florida with in a relationship with the guy who would one day become my husband. That my roommates predicted ON. THE. FIRST. DAY.
It’s funny when I think back to that moment. My roommates and I were invited over to meet our neighbors across the hall, so we did. I happened to sit on the couch that just so happened to be closest to Cent. Due to mere proximity, we talked amongst ourselves. Nothing deep. Nothing profound. I can honestly say that there was no “love connection” in that moment. I simply thought, “He’s a nice guy with a name I’ll need to practice saying to get right.”
Later that night, my roommates dove right into second grade antics of telling me how we had made a “love connection” (had I given them more time they probably would have sang the “Sitting in a Tree” song), and how were were going to get married. ON. THE. FIRST. DAY. I brushed it off and called them crazy.
Well, I guess they were right.
Today marks our 6 year date-a-versary, from when Cent asked me to dinner. And I wasn’t sure if it was a real date.
Luckily, it was.
And for old time’s sake, here’s an oldie, but a goodie, Cent’s first trip to California.
And in other news, Facebook is coming out with a NEW layout called Timeline. I got early access (okay, I tinkered my way in!) and it’s awesome. The best discovery found on Timeline? Note from Cent from 2005! Which I guess also means I’ve been using Facebook for six years.
Have a great weekend!
Interested in getting Timeline early? Check out this article. And for all those who can wait, Timeline will be rolled out next week.
