Favorite Find: Tillman’s Roadhouse

Time ticked down on Friday until 8:15pm. I waited like a kid on Christmas Eve. I got dressed, a little dressier than normal (ie. I changed out of the yoga pants and tank top!), and wrangled my hair (I seriously need a haircut). We were finally going to try out a restaurant that I had heard about from multiple friends. Of their delectable entrees to their amazing make your own S’mores. And I could not wait until our 9:15pm reservation. This was going to be the perfect date night.

Cent and I went to Tillman’s Roadhouse for Dallas Restaurant Week.

It was amazing! I had heard only great things about Tillman’s Roadhouse, so I was super excited to try it out. YUM. Times infinity.

It was also really fun to be there on Friday night when Tillman’s amazing hand-crafted S’mores were being featured on Sugar Rush, a new show on the Food Network, hosted by Duff Goldman of Ace of Cakes.

I absolutely loved Tillman’s ambiance and decor. Like, I want to go back now. Although, I don’t think my waistline would thank me. My tastebuds would, though!

If the pictures say anything (taken with my trusty point&shoot in LOW light), they say that the food was AMAZING, and I didn’t act quick enough to take photos of Cent’s food (including the S’more!). I was totally that girl taking pictures of food. But that’s what memories are made of. And with a photo, it lasts so much longer. I want to savor moments like these. Hanging out with my favorite guy at what may now be my favorite restaurant.

And because we don’t do this nearly enough anymore, a self portrait thanks to Cent’s long arms.

Needless to say, I HIGHLY recommend Tillman’s Roadhouse. Tillman’s was also featured in the CRAVE Dallas book that I worked on last Fall.

I think Tillman’s Roadhouse would make an amazing DFW location for a wedding rehearsal dinner, date night, or any occasion to have wonderful food. In fact, Tillman’s has two locations, one in Dallas which can accommodate private parties up to 24 people and one in Ft. Worth which can accommodate private parties up to 50 people.

Girl… I can’t believe there’s no s’mores picture! This looks so good, but I’m dying for a s’mores shot. Sounds like you have to go back!

@Kimberly: It was gone in two shakes of a lamb’s tail. I’ve always wanted to use that phrase!
