Couture Dessert Table: Victorian Valentine

02.18.2011

We’re not fancy, lovey dovey Valentine-sy people. This year, to celebrate Valentine’s Day, if you want to call it that, Cent brought home a heart-shaped box of Hershey’s Kisses. And we went to Chipotle (actually, the place we wanted to go to was packed!). Because, we’re not that fancy or Valentine-sy. Totally not.

But I do appreciate a unique spin on something popular.

A few weeks ago Ladna of November Lily asked me to shoot a couture dessert table she had designed. And since it was heart-themed, it was perfect to share on Valentine’s Day week.

This is a great alternative to having a wedding cake, if cake is not your thing, and a new spin on a candy bar, because this one? It includes DONUTS. And while I gladly accept cake, donuts bring a new idea to the party.

I’m also thrilled that this shoot was featured on Hostess with the Mostess Blog and Groom Sold Separately.

Happy Friday!

Beautiful! Love the “picture window” and humongous flower!

Thanks Lydia! Can you believe this was shot on a coffee table in a hotel room? :)
