On days when things feel like they aren’t going quite right, I tell myself to stop, and put things in perspective.
Blessed to have a loving, patient, and supportive husband.
Blessed to have an awesome sister.
Blessed to have amazing parents.
Blessed to have kind in-laws.
Blessed to have a great family, sweet friends, and a place to call home.
Blessed to have met so many wonderful people in the short time I’ve been in Texas.
Blessed to be doing what I love.
And then, when I think about it all with a fresh set of eyes, things don’t feel like they are spinning out of control anymore. I feel even more invigorated to build and grow my business, and let it flourish. Because this is what I was meant to do. Sharing in the fun and celebration of those in love. Being a cheerleader for love and relationships and marriages. Playing a small part in making people feel beautiful and amazing. I’m so thankful for what I do, and feel blessed beyond belief.
While I have to admit that building a business from scratch — having moved to Dallas without knowing anyone but my husband, introducing myself bit by bit to vendors in the industry, building and fostering relationships, and growing a client base — hasn’t been easy, I still wouldn’t have it any other way. Because this is my passion, this is my dream, this is my life and I’m going to make something of it.
I’m thankful for each day.
And because thoughtful posts are better with a photo, here’s one from our honeymoon in Kauai. When I had a good tan.
EDIT: Cent said this was when I had an AWESOME tan, not just good. Just so we’re clear.
