Monthly Archives: June 2010 It started as just an idea. As a way to shoot for myself, that didn’t revolve around what I made for dinner. Or new furniture we bought. Or worse, an unwilling subject. And then it turned into a conversation. A quick email sent to a new friend, who also happened to be an amazing wedding…  We’ve been married for almost a whole year! And to say the least, it’s been a whirlwind adventure. From a three-year long distance relationship, to a super fun summer wedding in California, packing up all my stuff (literally) and shipping it out to Texas, and setting up home and business bases in Dallas, it’s been…  Earlier, when I got into my car, the thermometer read 112 degrees. 112 Fahrenheit. That’s 44 Celsius. That’s hot times hot squared. That’s hot CUBED. Hello Texas Summer. While I know that the temperature was mostly due to the radiant heat of my car being parked outside, still, I feel that this temperature is unacceptable….  I love Macaroni and Cheese. Cent hates cheese. Therefore, we don’t eat it very often, we never eat it. Except on special occasions. This past Thanksgiving in Savannah, and I feasted on my mother-in-law’s macaroni and cheese. In my family, it was never a dish at Thanksgiving, but I think it will now have to… She’s from Louisiana. He’s from Ohio. She’s creative. He’s analytical. She cleans. He cooks. They met through a running club, that held it’s meeting at a bar. She went for the social aspect. He went for the running aspect. And even with Hurricane Gustav coming between them, and almost blowing their future meetings apart (literally),…
