This holiday season I’m thankful for something simple: being together.

This year, Cent and I will be spending the holidays together. Out of the four years we have been together, we’ve never spent Thanksgiving or Christmas together. For those that don’t know, we rocked the long-distance relationship. He was first in Georgia and I in California. Then he moved a little more West to Texas. But there was still a two hour time difference. And 1700 miles.

I’m thankful for him. For his love, understanding, patience, humor. Even when it’s him laughing at me. I’m thankful for his determination and drive. I’m thankful that we’re together.

Today I’m thankful to be together. To be surrounded by his family and only a phone call or Skype session away from mine.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Oh you sweethearts. I wondered how you managed those years. There you go, never again to be apart. Happy Thanksgiving!
