Grapevine Engagement Photography: Laura & Justin

Moving to Dallas also meant moving my business. While this made me a little nervous thinking about it at first, it was completely outweighed by my excitement to set up my wedding photography business here in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Set up some roots. Explore new locations. All things new.

This is officially my first Dallas engagement session. Meet Laura and Justin, two lovebirds from Louisiana. In fact they are such big Louisiana State University fans, they have been planning their wedding around LSU games, as not to conflict with game time. I was pretty excited when Laura told me that I could choose where to shoot their engagement session, since they are both new to the Dallas/Fort Worth area. I was psyched to shoot in Downtown Grapevine.

Grapevine has a totally cute and charming historic downtown. There’s a train station as well as an old theater. I’ve been wanting for the longest time to shoot near some railroad tracks, and voila Grapevine has those. With so many different pieces of scenery to choose from, Grapevine is great for an engagement session!

I loved this little alley that had some killer light.

I was excited about these railroad tracks and Laura and Justin were up for just about anything!

I think this is my favorite spot Downtown. These rocking chairs are awesome! It’s a great place to just sit back and relax.

Thank you Laura and Justin for making my first official Dallas engagement photography session a success! All the best to the both of you as you plan your big day!

Sweet :-) Great location! I think my fav is the two of them holding hands between the two train cars.

I’m greatly enjoying your blog by the way – it’s fun to see you really embracing and enjoying the process of creating a new life, a new home, and starting up your business again in Dallas!

So, I’ll ask, did they end up wearing LSU’s colors for some of their engagements? Or possibly use LSU’s colors for the wedding colors? Sorry, I had to ask. Love the shot with them kissing and the Shadow, it’s fun, and adds a little something to it.
