Samantha & Matt : Engaged | Indian Rock | Berkeley

Ah, finally some sunshine.

Originally, I was to meet up with Samantha and Matt at the beginning of May. The saying goes “April showers bring May flowers,” right? Well, the beginning of May in the San Francisco Bay Area proved otherwise.

As in wet.

As in rainy.

As in gray and overcast.

As in not photo friendly.

I was so thankful that this past week the sunshine decided to come out and play!

Samantha and Matt were a great couple to work with. Fun and ready for just about anything. Including climbing up Indian Rock and trying not to plunge to serious injury. They were fine climbing up and down.  Unlike me. I slipped twice. It could have been bad. Really bad. Luckily, I still have some balancing skills, and I made it down with both ankles and legs intact.

When I asked Samantha and Matt how they met, she gave him the lead. He’s a numbers guy. Matt was able to tell me when they met, their dating anniversary, and when he proposed. I told him that would win him serious points in the future. Since Matt proposed to Samantha at Indian Rock, that’s where we met up to shoot their engagement session. We spent the afternoon under the sun, and they even laughed at some of my jokes. Score!
