Heard of being paid in love? Well, today I was paid in cupcakes.
My AWESOME clients Donald and Ngan, who I met for the first time yesterday afternoon, greeted me with a white paper bag. They said, “We brought you a gift.” I said, “Thank you!” and then they said, “We brought cupcakes.”
I think at that point my jaw hit the ground. Hard. While I composed myself, my eyes lit up and I said, “Seriously? I LOVE CUPCAKES!” I think anyone who knows me or has been following my blog knows that I have a crazy obsession with cake. I love it. Cupcakes? Love them too.
“Two of them are red velvet,” Donald said.
“I LOVE Red Velvet,” I said, “You MUST be reading my blog or something!”
And if you’ve been following my blog, you know that I have an almost unhealthy obsession with all things Red Velvet. I don’t know if it’s the color or the cream cheese frosting, but Red Velvet is my favorite. Maybe I just like it because it’s different. And delicious. And totally awesome.
I don’t think Don and Ngan knew exactly how much they had just blown me away. I’m serious about my cake. The fact that they brought me cake as a gift? AMAZING! They totally rock. Not only that, they totally rocked their engagement session on The Embarcadero in San Francisco. Can’t wait to post their pictures! Keep an eye out for them!
