I’m not sure which sounds longer. 60 days? Or 8 weeks? Either way, it doesn’t sound like enough time to get things finished, but it’s going to have to be.
Two months from today, we’ll be tying the knot! After 14 months of being engaged, another two months seems like easy peasy lemon squeezy. But at the same time it’s also going to be jam-packed with activities, events, and last minute DIY-ing. Am I stressing? I’d say it’s a low-grade stress at this point. Ask me again in another thirty days.
The good news is that I finished the invitations and have finally sent out the first batch. That means that this is really happening! Since our local post office did not have the new 61-cent stamps, we’ll be rocking the 44-cent wedding band stamp and the 17-cent ram stamp. It made me laugh when my mom said that there would be rams on our envelopes. Call it wedding planning delirium.
Here’s a little preview since the majority of our guests should be getting these bad boys in the mail very soon. It’s just the outside. Don’t get too excited…
The fruits of my self-inflicted sweatshop!
With the little RSVP envelope, blurry thanks to shallow depth of field, with a forever stamp (purchased pre-postage increase!). Can’t wait until some of them start popping up in the mail!
Next week I have to pay the deposit on the reception venue, which is sure to be one of the bigger checks I’ve written in my life. Yikes! Pretty much next week starts the slow draining of our saved up pennies. Hopefully we’ll have a little left over for saving to buy a house!
I’m so excited and thrilled to marry the guy who once left me on the Tower of Terror at the last minute and introduced me to Zaxby‘s. The man who spontaneously ordered me flowers and presented me my birthday gift with the proposal. The one who texts me to make sure that I’m alright and stays up on the phone with me if I have a long drive ahead. Ahhh, he’s wonderful and I’m so blessed. Take that doubters of long-distance relationships!
Ok, I’m totally babbling. Blame it on the delirium. Wedding delirium. Frankly, I’ll take that over being a Bridezilla!
60 days…or 8 weeks..or 2 months…
