The Last 100 Days

Alright, so not to get all weird or sentimental or mushy or self indulgent, but my little Facebook Widget told me that we have 100 days until our wedding. Whoa. Don’t worry Internet, the “whoa” is more like “Yeah, I’m excited!” not like “Whoa, oh crap.”

See when you’ve been engaged for about 405 days (I did some math!) and by the time the wedding rolls around it will have been 505 days (just sayin’), a 100 day countdown seems like a momentous occasion. And since we’ve been rockin’ out the long distance relationship for a little over three years, 100 more days until we get to be in the same place at the same time is amazing.

I’m also the first of my groups of friends to get hitched. Never in a million years did I think that I would be the first to get married. Never.

I was never the girl with the boyfriend. I was always the girl that wanted one.

I was never the girl who was comfortable around all the guys. I was always the girl who wished she knew how to be.

I was never the girl who was cutesy and bubbly. I was always the girl who told it like it was and rolled her eyes a lot.

There were days when I thought I would NEVER find anyone, EVER.

Then I moved to Florida. And I met the guy across the hall. And my life changed.

I’m so excited that in 100 days I get to marry my best friend and yes, I’ll say it, soul mate, Cent. He understands me, puts up with me, thinks my quirks are charming (most of the time), and loves me for me. He accepts the good and the not-so-good things in me, as I do him. And to pour on just a little more cheese, (which ironically he does not like at all) he completes me.

Who knows what would have happened had I never decided to go to Florida?!

Here’s to getting all the wedding stuff completed in the next 100 days!

And because a post is much improved with some pictures:

Our very first picture together, a couple of days after first meeting, right after exiting Splash Mountain.

Cent's very first visit to San Francisco and meeting my family.

Our trip to Disneyland celebrating our 24th birthdays!

One of our engagement photos at the traveling Mario Kart Wii at the Dallas Speedzone, taken by the rad Travis Hoehne.

Happy Wednesday! Let the countdown begin!
